Lambert Nemec Group is pleased to be partnering with a well-established, multi-site manufacturing organization in Winnipeg in the search for a Human Resources Business Partner. This is a key leadership role supporting both unionized and non-unionized environments, reporting directly to the CEO and serving as the organization's primary HR leader.

About the Opportunity

This is a hands-on, strategic HR leadership role for a trusted advisor who can confidently balance day-to-day HR operations with longer-term people strategy. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping and delivering HR initiatives that support both business performance and employee experience.

You will act as the primary point of contact for all HR matters across the organization, working closely with leadership to strengthen capability, support change, and ensure consistency across all people practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to leadership and employees across multiple sites
  • Provide guidance and support on all employee and labour relations matters in both unionized and non-unionized environments
  • Coach and support managers in performance management, difficult conversations, and day-to-day leadership challenges
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across operational and administrative roles
  • Oversee payroll coordination and HR administrative processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support and lead employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a strong workplace culture
  • Provide strategic input into HR policies, practices, and organizational initiatives
  • Support change management initiatives as the organization continues to evolve and grow
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing employee advocacy with sound business judgment

Requirements:

  • Experience in both unionized and non-unionized environments
  • Strong employee relations and coaching capability
  • A balanced approach that considers both employee experience and business needs
  • Confidence navigating change and supporting leaders through transition
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work independently while influencing at a senior level
