About Phoenix

Founded in 2019, Phoenix is building the most trusted telehealth platform in Canada, making specialist healthcare accessible to every Canadian, wherever they are. Our platform breaks down barriers to care, empowering patients to take control of their health with personalized treatment options and the guidance of licensed providers.
If you thrive where big ideas turn into real impact, you'll fit right in here. We're a team of creative problem-solvers who move deliberately and collaborate in person, because we think the best work happens that way. At Phoenix, you'll find autonomy over your work, people who care about each other's success, and a mission that's making healthcare better for Canadians.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and evolve critical areas of Phoenix & Raven's patient experience. This role functions across patient trust, growth, and operational excellence, leading strategy, roadmap development, and execution within core patient experiences and care flows throughout the platform.

Working on-site, you'll partner closely with our Principal Product Manager and VP of Product to translate company strategy into tangible outcomes, while independently driving your own roadmap from opportunity identification through launch and iteration. You'll be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, bringing clarity to ambiguity, aligning cross-functional teams, and making thoughtful product decisions that balance patient experience, business goals, and technical realities.

Success in this role means taking ownership of complex problem spaces, creating momentum across multiple initiatives, and consistently shipping high-quality experiences that improve patient outcomes and business performance.

What you'll do to support the company mission
  • Own significant product areas end-to-end, defining strategy, roadmap, and execution across multiple initiatives

  • Independently identify product opportunities through customer insights, data, operational feedback, and first-principles thinking

  • Translate company objectives into clear product strategies, prioritization decisions, and measurable outcomes

  • Partner with the Principal Product Manager and VP of Product to shape long-term product direction while independently executing against strategic priorities

  • Lead discovery, shaping, delivery, and post-launch iteration for complex, cross-functional initiatives

  • Write thoughtful product briefs that provide engineering and design with the context needed to make strong implementation decisions

  • Drive alignment across engineering, design, clinical operations, pharmacy operations, CX, marketing, and leadership to deliver high-impact work with minimal oversight

  • Navigate ambiguity and make informed tradeoffs between customer value, technical complexity, operational impact, and business priorities

  • Apply Shape Up methodologies to shape projects, define appetite, surface risks, and maintain execution momentum

  • Apply first-principles thinking and JTBD frameworks to deeply understand patient motivations and translate insights into product decisions

  • Drive roadmap planning by proactively identifying opportunities, dependencies, sequencing, and investment tradeoffs across your product area

  • Evolve internal operational tooling across patient operations, fulfillment, support, billing, and clinical administration to improve scalability and efficiency

  • Partner closely with engineering to balance feature development with platform stability, system scalability, data integrity, and patient safety

  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate product performance, validate hypotheses, and continuously improve outcomes

  • Champion high-quality product thinking, documentation, and decision-making practices across the product organization

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI across patient experiences, internal tooling, operational workflows, and product development processes

What will help you succeed in the role
  • 5–8+ years of Product Management experience owning complex product areas from strategy through execution

  • Demonstrated success independently leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business outcomes

  • Experience defining strategy and prioritization for a meaningful product area, not just executing against an existing roadmap

  • Exceptional systems thinking — you naturally consider workflows, operational complexity, edge cases, scalability, and downstream impacts

  • Experience building or improving operationally complex products, including internal tooling, back-office systems, or workflow-heavy experiences

  • Ability to create clarity in ambiguous environments and move work forward without waiting for direction

  • Strong written communication — you produce concise, thoughtful briefs and documentation that enable teams to make better decisions

  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and building alignment across multiple disciplines and competing priorities

  • Familiarity with Shape Up, JTBD, or similarly pragmatic product frameworks

  • Genuine curiosity — you actively experiment with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) and have a visible track record of side projects, prototypes, or self-initiated builds

  • Deep empathy for patients and users — you understand that trust, clarity, and reliability matter as much as feature velocity

  • Strong technical fluency — you collaborate effectively with engineers on architecture, scope, sequencing, and technical tradeoffs without needing to be an engineer yourself

  • Data fluency — you define meaningful success metrics, synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights, and use evidence to inform product decisions

  • Commercial awareness — you understand how product investments drive activation, retention, lifetime value, operational efficiency, and long-term business performance

  • High ownership, strong bias toward action, and low ego

  • Background in healthcare, fintech, logistics, or other trust-sensitive, operationally intensive environments is a strong asset
