Quality Control Cell Leader

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the shift handover, walk around with Shift Leader and Quality Assurance Leader at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Perform visual inspection of quality issues from the previous shift.
• Engage in direct communications with operators, cell leaders, and the shift leader following the shift.
• Make judgment calls on the quality of parts and escalate concerns about issues to the shift leader.
• Ensure operators complete In Process Inspection and Scrap Reports.
• Ensure operators understand the importance of the trouble light on injection machinery.
• Relieve machine operators (per Plant Schedule) within the cell.
• Perform part inspections (per Plant Schedule) as required or as directed by the Quality Leader.
• Assist with orientation, training, and evaluation of temporary, new, or transferred personnel.
• Open and close packages and obtain approved samples/gauges.
• Participate in first off/last off inspections.
• Collect receipts.
• Weigh completed cartons and complete the order status report (run down sheet).
• Participate in the development and maintenance of the 6S program.
• Operate equipment as detailed on the 'Plant Schedule' for the particular 'Cell'.
• Ensure production receipts, labels, ID sheets, date stamp, and QA stamp are used accordingly.
• Fill out defective part tags as required.
• Communicate effectively with all team members.
