Impact Therapy Group is seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) to join our practice as an independent contractor. Applicants must be registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and have experience working with teenagers.

Impact Therapy Group is a private practice that provides evidence-based psychotherapy to adults, teens, and couples experiencing challenges related to trauma, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, disordered eating, and relationship concerns. Our team currently includes five therapists, and we are excited to continue growing so we can serve more people in need.

Our approach is active, collaborative, and goal-oriented. We value compassion and validation, while also helping clients challenge unhelpful patterns, learn practical skills, and create meaningful change. While therapy often involves difficult work, we aim to keep the atmosphere warm, approachable, and genuine.

We are looking for a therapist who:

• Embraces an integrative approach to treatment
• Is committed to ongoing growth through supervision, peer consultation, and professional development
• Can create a warm, non-judgmental environment while actively helping clients work toward their goals

All sessions are conducted virtually through Jane App.

Our workplace culture is supportive, growth-oriented, and emotionally safe. We value collaboration, welcome vulnerability, and encourage therapists to seek guidance whenever needed to best support their clients.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited university
• Registration with the CRPO
• Experience working with teens
• Demonstrated training and clinical experience in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or other recognised approaches. Training must extend beyond foundational graduate coursework through practicum experience with modality-specific supervision, continuing education, or post-graduate certification.
• Clinical training and direct experience in at least one of the following areas: EMDR, borderline personality disorder (including DBT-informed treatment), or eating disorders. Please be specific in your application regarding your training and experience.
• Professional liability insurance that covers virtual practice
• Experience working with couples is an asset. Completion of Levels 1 and 2 Gottman Method training or an official EFT for Couples Externship through ICEEFT would be required to provide couples therapy.

Expectations:

• Commitment to ongoing professional development through supervision, training, and clinical reading
• Availability a minimum of three weekdays per week, three evenings per week, and two weekend days per month
• Ability to offer consultation appointments to new clients within approximately 72 business hours
• Willingness to offer online booking

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and/or couples therapy in a private practice setting
• Develop treatment plans using evidence-based approaches
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Adhere to professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality, informed consent, and appropriate boundaries
• Respond promptly to client and prospective client enquiries
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision

What We Offer:

• Competitive compensation ($93 to $111 per clinical hour)
• Full control over your schedule and vacation time
• Collaborative and supportive team culture
• Monthly peer consultation group
• Client referrals that increase over time (caseload growth is expected within the first three months, although hours are not guaranteed initially)
• Website profile, directory listings, and Google Ads promotion
• Electronic record-keeping and scheduling through Jane App
