Assembler--Days

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the assembly and testing of quality pipe preparation tools in accordance with work instructions and company policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Select proper components for assembly.
• Assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, or aluminum pipe preparation tools in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and Quality Maintenance Actions Sheets (QMAS) provided.
• Assemble components according to customer specifications and engineering instructions.
• Perform testing of assembled valves and maintain accurate records.
• Package assembled valves for shipping.
• Pack finished tested assemblies, applying appropriate labeling and packaging materials.
• Maintain inventory of components making use of the kanban card system to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts.
• Follow standard work practices, method sheets, and instructions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to Lean Manufacturing processes and FEM requirements.
• Report damages or malfunctions of equipment and tools to the supervisor.
• Use appropriate safety equipment at all times.
• Adhere to company policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
