About the Role

J Dass Hospitality is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Labourer to support the maintenance operations across multiple hotel properties. This hands-on role involves assisting with general building maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and property upkeep to ensure all facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work, including painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical tasks.

• Assist with preventive maintenance of hotel equipment and building systems.

• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues and report findings.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and management.

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest areas, public spaces, and exterior grounds.

• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.

• Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal and landscaping support when required.

• Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are clean, organized, and safe.

• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

• Support emergency maintenance needs and assist with special projects as assigned.

• Travel between company properties to perform maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in building, hotel, or general maintenance is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.

• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and time-management skills.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts when required.
