CNC Brake Press Operator

Our client in Cambridge is looking for a Brake Press Operator to join their fabrication shop team on their day shift. The working hours for this permanent full-time position are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Successful applicants will have superior work ethics, excellent time management skills, and a positive attitude. Candidates must be capable of working alone or in a team environment and committed to safe work practices.

BRAKE PRESS RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and operation of Accurpress and Durma CNC brake press
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings
• Ability to program single or multiple bend parts
• Measure products for correct dimensions, bend angles, and other specifications
• Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Demonstrated ability to have an excellent attention to detail and be quality-focused
• Meet shift objectives by ensuring efficient and safe operations

BRAKE PRESS QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience operating CNC brake press - minimum 2 years preferred
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Must be capable of working with imperial and metric dimensions
• Ability to bend, crouch, and lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Experience with measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and sheet metal gauges
• Metal fabrication experience would be considered an asset
