Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst who excels in financial storytelling and process improvement. This role involves collaborating with business partners and operators, performing cost and variance analysis, and presenting financial information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Follow processes and understand reclasses.
• Conduct cost analysis and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with operators and business partners to communicate variances and work on analysis.
• Present financial information effectively using PowerPoint, text visualization, or Excel.
• Take initiative to explore issues and challenge the status quo.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.

• 1-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least one solid year in finance.
• Industry experience in retail or a similar field.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to take initiative.
• Familiarity with P&L or financial statements.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including SUMIFS, XLOOKUPs, INDEX MATCH, and pivot tables.
• Experience in financial modeling, business analysis, and supporting month-end close.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a similar field.
• CPA designation.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Retail experience.

This position is based in the office five days a week in Vaughan, ON, with flexible hours between 9 AM and 5 PM within a 40-hour work week. The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
