We are seeking a City Planner/Operations Specialist to join our client's team in Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate for this position is a dedicated individual with proven experience in Logistics Dispatching/Routing/Planning, strong administrative skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: 2:00am-10:30am Monday-Friday

Pay: $28.00-29.00/hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

Planning and assigning 55+ driver routes
Adjusting/reassigning plans as needed to accommodate late freight, issues, updates
Loading trips into TMS system
Utilizing TruckMate software to build and manage trip plans
Prioritizing inbound freight volumes for next day delivery
Performing driver check in/out procedures
Maintaining accurate route manifests, trip records, dock paperwork, and performance data
Preparing dispatch documentation/trip manifests/routing instructions
Working with other teams to coordinate workflow, ensure freight is staged correctly, validate freight availability, and resolve issues
Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Previous work experience in LTL Dispatch, Routing, or Transportation Planning within the Logistics industry (minimum 2 years)
Knowledge of the GTA/Southern Ontario delivery network and traffic patterns
Strong knowledge of LTL operations, trip planning, and city routing practices
Dispatch/TMS systems experience (e.g., TruckMate)
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Able to work independently
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work on the 2:00AM shift
