We are seeking a dedicated and reliable DZ Driver to join our team for DZ local pickup and delivery of alcohol products out of Oakville, ON. This is a long-term role, looking for someone with strong customer service skills and a hard-working attitude.
Job Specifics- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Shift: Day shift - Start time varies between 5am-9am
- Hours: Approximately 50-55 hours per week
- Vehicle: Straight truck
- Pay: $25.76/hour
- Responsibilities:
- LTL deliveries of alcohol products to grocery stores, restaurants, residences, etc.
- Use of power walkie or other delivery equipment
- Breaking down skids of product and delivering with equipment
- Heavy lifting (50 lbs+)
- Performing physical work
- Conducting routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise
- 3 years of verifiable commercial DZ driving experience
- Experience with city pickup and delivery, including driving in downtown Toronto
- Clean abstract and CVOR
- Proven experience in DZ LTL deliveries with a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Familiarity and experience using a tailgate and power walkie
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Permanent Resident status or Canadian citizenship
- Must be a payrolled employee (no independent contractors)
