ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Prosperity Workforce Solutions is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established Indigenous child and family services organization in Selkirk, Manitoba. Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join their growing multidisciplinary clinical team.

In this role, you will provide assessment and treatment services primarily to preschool-aged children, school-age children, and pre-teens presenting with a range of communication disorders. You will work within a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed framework, collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and a supportive team of allied health professionals.

This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families within a community-centred, culturally grounded environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and consultations to determine treatment goals and develop individualized programming for children and youth with communication disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to a caseload that primarily includes preschoolers, school-age children, and pre-teens.
  • Liaise with families and support personnel to provide regular updates on treatment progress and adjust goals as needed across subsequent treatment blocks.
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals committed to holistic, communication-focused care.
  • Deliver services within a neurodiversity-affirming framework that celebrates and supports diverse ways of communicating.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Eligibility for, or current registration with, the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (Reg. CASLPM).
  • Current professional liability insurance.
  • Experience working with children and youth across developmental stages is an asset.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, Indigenous cultures and community-based service models is an asset.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a clinician who leads with empathy, patience, and respect. You are passionate about supporting children in finding their voice — in every sense — and you bring creativity and initiative to your practice. You thrive in collaborative settings and are energized by working as part of a caring, multidisciplinary team.

You believe every child deserves to be met where they are, and you approach your work with cultural humility and a deep commitment to affirming, inclusive care.
