Material Handler/ Forklift Operator (Diesel)

Job Title: Diesel Forklift Operator

Job Description:

• You will be operating a Diesel Forklift inside the facility doing material handling to the lines as well as moving walls and large/heavy materials.
• Overtime after 40 hours.
• Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
• You will also receive a $25 per day travel compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Check hydraulic and motor oil level, water, and fuel before operating the forklift.
• Report all mechanical issues to the maintenance department immediately.
• Check sill placement of all panels when placing anywhere.
• Check the panel quality and if non-conforming, return panels to the plant for repairs.
• Operate front-end loader and/or skid steer as required (training provided).
• Assist in removal of other product from the buildings.
• Place finished product into proper bays outside.
• Receive loading orders for the day.
• Prepare product for shipping (special bundles, block load skids are correct).
• Load product onto trailers.
• After loading, inspect product for any damage that may have taken place during loading.
• Unloading of raw materials and ensuring that it gets to the proper recipient.
• Loading of products onto the trailers.
• Loading and unloading of the repair bay.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations as per Faddis safety policy.
• Wear all prescribed personal protective equipment.
• Ensure forklift checks are done at the beginning of the shift or when you operate a different forklift.
