Schedule: Day Shift (Monday-Friday)About the OpportunityFuze HR Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator on behalf of a well-established precision manufacturing organization serving the aerospace, defence, and advanced manufacturing sectors.This opportunity is ideal for an estimator with a strong background in CNC machining who enjoys analyzing complex manufacturing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the success of high-precision components and assemblies.What You'll Be DoingEstimating & Quotation Preparation
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, CAD files, and bills of materials to determine manufacturing requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for machining, fabrication, assembly, finishing, and subcontracted services.
  • Develop accurate labour, material, tooling, and outside processing costs.
  • Generate customer quotations while ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
Manufacturing Analysis
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend cost-effective production methods.
  • Analyze machining requirements, cycle times, tooling needs, and material utilization.
  • Support manufacturability reviews and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Supplier & Vendor Coordination
  • Obtain pricing and lead-time information from material suppliers and external processing vendors.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and incorporate costs into customer proposals.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams throughout the quoting process.
  • Support customer inquiries related to quotations and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Provide technical insight regarding machining processes and production methods.
Continuous Improvement
  • Assist in improving estimating accuracy, costing methodologies, and quotation processes.
  • Support initiatives focused on operational efficiency and profitability.
QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum 5 years of estimating experience within a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, including milling and turning operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and bills of materials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, defence, or high-precision manufacturing environments.
  • Certificate of Qualification in Machining.
  • College diploma in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience estimating fabrication, welding, assembly, and finishing operations.
ScheduleDay Shift
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
