Delivery Driver / Warehouse Support

Pinnacle Wholesale Foods Inc., is a Western Canadian owned and operated Food Service Distributor and is currently looking to hire a permanent, full-time Delivery Driver/Warehouse Support.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have functional knowledge of fresh, frozen and processed foods related to the hospitality industry.

· Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift.

· Overtime is required based on business demands; sometimes on short notice.

· Previous warehouse/forklift operation experience is an asset.

· Must be dependable and a team player.

· Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training).

· Strong attention to detail.

· High school diploma or equivalent with an ability to quickly and accurately process basic math.

· A clean drivers abstract with minimum of 5 years' experience with a class 5, non-probationary, Alberta registered license. Drivers abstract required at time of interview.

· Familiar with City of Calgary roadways.

· Must be at least 27 years of age and be a permanent resident of Canada.

· Previous 5-ton experience mandatory.

· Possess knowledge of all applicable Provincial Driving regulations.

· Capacity to read and correctly interpret route manifests and invoices.

· Ability and willingness to work varying routes and required overtime as assigned by Supervisor (weekends included).

· Must be well versed in safe food handling practices (training provided).

· Basic computer skills are required.

· Willingness and ability to work in a freezer environment for brief periods of time.

RESPONSIBILITES:

· Utilize an industrial forklift and order picker (certification preferred, but not required).

· Pick customer orders as per branch order picking policies and procedures.

· Assist drivers in loading trucks in an efficient, safe manner, checking to ensure the posted piece count is accurate.

· Select customer orders from cooler, freezer and shelves, place onto pallet, and load onto trailer/truck.

· Receive incoming orders strictly adhering to branch receiving policies and procedures.

· Assist with deliveries and pick ups as required.

· Direct handling, repacking and quality control of fresh produce, dairy and protein.

· Perform all duties in a professional manner, completely devoid of anger or confrontations.

· Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.

· Assist other warehouse staff in completing tasks as requested by the Operations Manager or immediate supervisor.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

· $22.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience. (50 hour work week, with an average of 2- 7 hours overtime/week). Average Annual Wages $55,000 - $65,000.
