The Staff Scheduling Coordinator reports to the Business Processes and Scheduling Manager. They are responsible for maintaining the Time and Attendance Program (Staff Schedule Care), as well as providing back-up to the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Daily updates of the time and attendance system (Staff Schedule Care),
- Auditing for increases in both vacation and wages based on union agreement specifications,
- Maintain Time Banks – sick, vacation, stat holidays, and floats,
- Review of the time and attendance hours and the importing of hours to the Automatic Data Processing (ADP) system,
- Train new users in Staff Schedule Care (SSC),
- Able to complete payroll in Staff Schedule Care (SSC) and Automatic Data Processing (ADP) as support to the Payroll Manager,
- Provide support to Business Managers and Coordinators in various payroll-related issues,
- Any and all other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
The qualifications needed to join our family are as follows:
- Post-secondary education,
- Minimum three years experience in payroll and scheduling for unionized employees,
- Strong knowledge of Staff Schedule Care (SSC) - time attendance system,
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office software, particularly Excel,
- Ability to read and interpret union collective agreements,
- Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner,
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy,
- Ability to work from the heart and make others smile.
- Ability to listen and respect others' points of view even if you disagree.
- Clear vulnerable sector screening (w/ in last 6 months), recent TB test results (w/ in last 6 months) or Chest X-ray (w/ in last 1 yr), and two supervisory references are required.
