Flight Simulation Instructor (Youth Aviation Program)
The Flight Simulation Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on aviation training to youth ages 12–18 using Microsoft Flight Simulator and flight control equipment, including joysticks, throttles, and rudder pedals. The instructor introduces participants to the fundamentals of flight, aircraft controls, navigation, airport operations, and aviation careers through interactive simulation-based learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate flight simulation lessons using Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- Teach basic aviation concepts, including aircraft controls, takeoff, navigation, and landing procedures.
- Guide youth through structured flight exercises and aviation challenges.
- Set up, operate, and maintain flight simulation equipment.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, problem-solving, and interest in aviation and aerospace careers.
- Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support program activities, field trips, and special aviation events as required.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of aviation principles and flight simulation software.
- Experience working with youth ages youth is preferred.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for aviation, aerospace, and youth development.
