Senior Accountant (18 Months Contract)
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role will play a critical part in owning and improving the financial reporting function while driving process efficiencies and modernization initiatives.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Own the preparation and integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead consolidation and financial reporting across multiple entities
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work
• Support audits by maintaining well-organized, audit-ready working papers
• Provide meaningful financial analysis and insights to support decision-making
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve workflows and reporting processes
• Leverage technology and tools to modernize and optimize reporting systems

Your strengths include:

• CPA designation is preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (real estate, land development, or project-based industries considered an asset)
• Strong understanding of ASPE and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with consolidations and multi-entity environments
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive efficiencies
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
• Forward-thinking mindset with an interest in leveraging technology and automation
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence without direct authority
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
