Delivery/Warehouse helper

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Guelph. Looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a General Labourer/Driver Helper! As a key member of their workforce, you'll be on the move, delivering and picking up goods, and assisting with various tasks. Shift Available: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (start and finish times may vary day to day due to traffic).

Wage: $22/hr

Start Date: As soon as possible

• Safely load, transport, and unload furniture to customer homes and businesses.
• Deliver furniture on scheduled routes in a timely and professional manner.
• Assemble and install furniture as required at customer locations.
• Carefully handle furniture to prevent damage during loading, transport, and delivery.
• Inspect products before delivery to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery documentation accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
• Remove and dispose of packaging materials when required.
• Assist in warehouse duties, including receiving, organizing, and preparing furniture for delivery.
• Work collaboratively with delivery partners and warehouse staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and work area.

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy items.
• Ability to climb stairs and maneuver large furniture through tight spaces.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (to get to and from work).
• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture (50-300 lbs or more) on a regular basis.
• Experience in furniture delivery, moving, or assembly is an asset.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
