We are seeking an experienced District Manager to lead the operations, sales, and service functions for a multi-office region. This position is responsible for the overall performance of the district, including financial results, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, safety, and business growth.The successful candidate will provide leadership to both field and office teams while ensuring operational efficiency, strong customer relationships, and achievement of business objectives. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational management.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to managers and employees across the district.
- Foster a positive and accountable work environment focused on performance, development, and engagement.
- Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, performance discussions, and career planning.
- Manage employee relations matters and support a productive labour environment.
- Communicate company objectives, initiatives, and district performance expectations effectively.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets.
- Monitor district performance and implement strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets.
- Oversee field operations to ensure projects and service activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Review operational metrics and financial results to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Promote a strong culture of safety throughout the district.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations and support corrective action planning where required.
- Lead safety initiatives, audits, and employee engagement activities related to workplace safety.
- Support and guide district sales activities, including service, modernization, and capital project opportunities.
- Participate in key customer meetings and major contract negotiations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic customers and industry stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for business growth within the district.
- Ensure district processes and administrative functions are completed accurately and on time.
- Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience within a technical service, construction, industrial, or capital equipment environment.
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams and business operations.
- Strong financial and operational management skills.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
