At Halifax Kubota, we keep the equipment running that builds our community. We are currently seeking a Parts Counterperson to join our team. What We Offer:

• This is a salaried role ranging from $45,000 to $50,000 depending on your experience.
• We are willing to train the right candidate. This is an opportunity to learn the heavy equipment industry from the ground up.
• Full-time, year-round work. Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with only occasional Saturday mornings (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM).

What You Will Do:

As the face of our parts department, you will help retail customers and our internal service technicians find the solutions they need.

• Greet customers and answer phone inquiries, providing expert advice on parts, compatibility, and equipment operation.
• Use our digital parts catalogs and diagrams to identify the exact replacement part needed for tractors, mowers, and construction equipment.
• Process orders, purchase orders, and requisitions. You will also assist with shipping, receiving, and organizing inventory to keep the department running smoothly.
• Continually learn about new Kubota equipment and mechanical systems.

We are an authorized dealer for:

• Kubota (Tractors, Excavators, Loaders, Mowers, and Utility Vehicles)
• STIHL (Chainsaws, Trimmers, Blowers, and Power Equipment)
• Toro (Mowers, Snow Blowers, and Yard Tools)

Who You Are:

• You don't need a degree, but you need to understand how things fit together.
• You are comfortable using computers. You will be using inventory management systems daily (experience with these systems is a plus, but not required).
• This is an active role. You must be able to lift up to 50-70 lbs (heavy parts) and keep the stockroom organized.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Parts Person, Parts Advisor, or in an automotive/industrial environment is preferred OR a strong demonstration of mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
