Job Title: Repair Technician
Position Summary
Perform repairs and maintenance on power tools and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Support operational goals through productivity, quality control, process improvements, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand technical knowledge through training, repair manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Use handheld scanners and computer systems to receive, diagnose, track, and complete repair orders.
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble tools and equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform final functionality and safety testing on all repaired equipment.
- Ensure repairs meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control and parts management as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-control efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and workshop environment.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical equipment.
- Regular use of hand tools, testing equipment, and repair machinery.
Safety Requirements
- Comply with all workplace safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and other protective gear as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and manual handling of tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, maintenance, or equipment repair preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Basic computer skills and experience using Windows applications preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
