Senior Accountant – CPA Designated

Our client, a public accounting firm in Brampton, is looking to hire a CPA-designated Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with strong public accounting experience who is comfortable managing client files, preparing financial statements, and handling corporate tax work.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal team members on compilation engagements, tax filings, year-end files, and general accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare compilation engagement files and financial statements
• Prepare corporate tax returns
• Prepare personal tax returns, as required
• Review bookkeeping files and year-end working papers
• Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve questions
• Assist with tax planning and general accounting advisory work
• Support junior staff and review work where required
• Manage deadlines across multiple client files

Requirements

• CPA designation required
• Previous public accounting experience required
• Strong experience with corporate tax and year-end files
• Comfortable working with owner-managed businesses
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines independently
