A Calgary-based organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support full-cycle accounting functions across three entities. The ideal candidate will recognize that multi-entity, multi-currency accounting within a field services environment often involves disparate systems, imperfect data, and the need to act with both speed and precision. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Corporate team and support to build and maintain strong remote working relationships.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Lead the end-to-end monthly close process, including amortizations, accruals, revenue recognition, and fixed asset entries
- Support the Group Controller with close activities and related deliverables
- Prepare and distribute monthly management reporting packages with variance analysis
- Review payroll journal entries for accuracy and investigate discrepancies
- Provide backup support for payroll processing as required
- Oversee GL coding and support the AP/AR Specialist, including backup coverage
- Review and approve vendor invoice and expense coding
- Monitor AP and AR aging across three entities and escalate issues as needed
- Ensure accuracy of billing workflows, including FieldCap to invoicing and OpenInvoice submissions
- Maintain data integrity across systems and support the Dynamics Business Central migration, including building reconciliation and reporting tools
- CPA designation (or CPA-eligible) with strong technical accounting expertise
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting: month-end close, journals, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, consolidation, and building reporting tools
- Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting; Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset
- Industry experience in oilfield or field services, including job costing and invoicing workflows (e.g., OpenInvoice)
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working with ambiguity and manual processes

This is a full-time position based in Calgary, AB.
The salary range is $90,000.00–$115,000.00 per year.
