About the RoleWe're recruiting for a growing construction and site development company in the South Simcoe area looking to add a Heavy-Duty Mechanic to support a fleet of construction equipment and service vehicles.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and keeping equipment operating during a busy construction season.
Equipment You'll Work On-Excavators-Loaders-Skid Steers-Dozers-Pickup Trucks-Construction and site servicing equipment
What You'll Be Doing-Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and fleet vehicles-Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical issues-Perform preventative maintenance and inspections-Respond to field breakdowns and emergency repairs-Complete repairs in both shop and jobsite environments-Support equipment builds, modifications, and installations
What We're Looking For-421A Heavy Equipment Technician OR 310T Truck & Coach Technician-5+ years of experience working on heavy equipment or mixed construction fleets-Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills-Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision-Valid driver's license
Nice to Have-Welding and fabrication experience-CAT or John Deere equipment experience-Construction, earthworks, civil, or site servicing background-Field service experience
