Opportunity:

Vault is seeking an experienced, proactive, and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a temporary 12-month contract. This hands-on role is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who enjoys both strategic people initiatives and day-to-day HR operations. The successful candidate will support recruitment, employee engagement, pulse surveys, HR reporting, performance evaluation processes, HRIS administration, employee data management, and full-cycle payroll processing. This opportunity is well-suited for someone with sound judgment, strong communication skills, a high level of discretion, and the ability to build trusted relationships with employees, managers, and leadership. The role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can step in quickly, take initiative, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and support a positive, productive, and engaged workplace culture throughout the contract term.

Vault supports a flexible hybrid work environment with a mix of in-person collaboration and remote work. Emphasis is placed on producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines, not necessarily where or when hours are worked.

Specificresponsibilitiesinclude,butarenotlimitedto,thefollowing:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and offer support to the job owner.
  • Partnerwithhiringmanagerstounderstandstaffingneeds,rolerequirements,andrecruitmentpriorities.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with employees and managers to support engagement, morale, communication, and workplace culture.
  • ActasatrustedHRcontactforemployees,providingguidanceandsupportonHR-relatedquestionsandconcerns.
  • Supportleadershipandmanagersincreatingactionplansbasedonemployeefeedback.
  • UseBambooHRtosupportonboarding,offboarding,time-offtracking,employeechanges,reporting,andperformancemanagementprocesses.
  • Maintainconfidentialityandaccuracyinallemployee,payroll,andHRrecords.
  • Completeandsubmitpayrollaccuratelyandonschedule.
  • AssisttheExecutiveAssistantwithteameventplanning.

SkillsandQualifications:

  • 10-15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a senior HR generalist, HR manager, or people operations role.
  • Post-secondaryeducationinHumanResources,BusinessAdministration,orarelatedfieldpreferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee engagement, HR operations, payroll, reporting, and performance management.
  • ExperienceworkingwithMercerforbenchmarking.
  • Oil and gas experience is considered an asset.
  • Strongreportingandanalyticalskills,withtheabilitytointerpretHRdataandprovidemeaningfulinsights.
  • Understandingofpayrolllegislation,employmentstandards,statutorydeductions,taxablebenefits,vacationpay,overtime,andpayrollremittances.
  • ExperienceusingBambooHRorasimilarHRISplatform.
  • Experienceworkinginasmalltomid-sizedorganizationisanasset,particularlyinahands-onHRrole.
