Maintenance Millwright (433A)

Location: Windsor, ON (on-site)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: $30.00–$44.00/hour (based on experience and certification) + benefits

About the Opportunity:

A well-established automotive stamping manufacturer in the Windsor area is seeking two Maintenance Millwrights to join the maintenance teams at two of its production facilities (one position at each location, both situated on the Windsor/LaSalle border). These are permanent, full-time roles supporting high-volume automotive stamping production in modern, fast-paced facilities running advanced manufacturing technology.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an organization with a strong culture of promoting from within, company-sponsored training, and genuine long-term career growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide maintenance support across all areas of production, ensuring machines and facilities operate safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures — both routine and non-routine — to minimize downtime
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Perform repairs to machinery and plant support systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Support preventative and corrective maintenance on stamping equipment, feed-line systems, and related production machinery
  • Work collaboratively with electricians, automation specialists, and the broader maintenance team
  • Adhere to all company policies, including Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, and HR standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Certified Industrial Mechanic/Millwright (433A) preferred (3rd- or 4th-year apprentices may be considered)
  • 3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment working with industrial machinery
  • Stamping equipment / feed-line systems experience is a strong asset
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule (days, afternoons, midnights)
  • Self-motivated, safety-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced production environment

Why It's a Great Opportunity:

  • Modern facilities with new equipment and cutting-edge process technology
  • Company-sponsored training and skills development
  • Strong internal promotion culture and clear paths for career advancement
  • Excellent compensation and benefits package
  • Join a financially strong, well-established organization investing in its Canadian operations

Benefits:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage — effective immediately upon hire
  • Orthodontics coverage (50%) for children under 17
  • $500 annual wellness bucket (massage, chiropractic, homeopathic services)
  • Health spending account ($350 after one year; rolls over one year, paid out if unused)
  • Paid time off: 2 weeks standard
  • 10 paid holidays (including Civic Holiday and Family Day) plus floater days
  • RSP matching: 4% after two years, 6% after four years

Schedule:

Rotating shifts (days, afternoons, midnights)
