The Warehouse Helper plays a vital role in supporting warehouse operations within an industrial storage and wholesale distribution environment. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position involves handling general merchandise, fragile items, and building supplies such as steel and aluminum. The role requires assisting with inventory management, packaging, receiving goods, and stock replenishment while maintaining safety compliance. Additionally, the Warehouse Helper contributes to sales efforts, including engaging with customers via Facebook Marketplace, during typical day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Handle inventory with accuracy and care, including fragile and heavy building supplies
- Package and prepare goods for shipment and delivery
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming merchandise
- Replenish stock to maintain adequate warehouse levels
- Move materials and products safely using appropriate equipment
- Comply with all safety regulations and standards
- Support sales initiatives, including Facebook Marketplace sales activities
- Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure efficient daily operations
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in inventory management practices
- Experienced in forklift operation
- Strong basic math skills for inventory and sales tasks
