We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Traffic Control Workers to support roadwork and construction projects across Newfoundland and Labrador. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing traffic safely and efficiently while protecting workers, motorists, and pedestrians in active work zones.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and radios.
  • Set up and take down traffic control devices including cones, signs, and barricades in accordance with provincial guidelines.
  • Maintain safe traffic flow through construction zones and around hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to coordinate traffic movement.
  • Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic control plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and provincial standards.

  • Report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Requirements:
  • Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification recognized in Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Knowledge of provincial traffic regulations and safety practices.
  • Ability to remain alert and focused in high-traffic environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites may be required.

Working Conditions:
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions common to Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Fast-paced environments with exposure to moving traffic and construction activity.

We are looking for individuals who prioritize safety, demonstrate strong awareness, and can work effectively as part of a team in dynamic roadside environments.
