Hiring: Maintenance Millwright (433A) —Vaughan, Ontario

Licensed 433A Millwright, automotive or CNC shop experience

PAY RATE: $45/hour

SCHEDULE

- Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY

A Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) responsible for the repair,

preventative maintenance, and modification of machinery and equipment

across a CNC machining department and the broader plant. Works to

specifications from vendor schematics, drawings, and data, with strong

attention to safety, quality, cost, and timing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet individual job target hours and identify opportunities to reduce overall hours
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner
  • Perform equipment repairs with attention to safety, quality, cost, and timing
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on all equipment and machines
  • Maintain general plant systems and equipment
  • Operate crane, fork truck, and high-reach equipment
  • Apply strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and their operation
  • Acquire information to support maintenance and repair to spec from vendor schematics, data, drawings, and instructions (hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical)
  • Safely manufacture, modify, or repair components required on machinery or in the plant
  • Safely operate manual saws, lathes, and milling/drilling machines to manufacture, modify, or repair components
  • Repair various pumps and related valves
  • Remove and replace various bearings and seals
  • Repair drive systems (ball screw, linear guide, belt, direct drive) and screw/belt conveyor systems
  • Weld using oxy/acetylene, TIG, and MIG
  • Rig and handle machinery and equipment of various sizes, shapes, and weights
  • Manage spares, equipment, and tooling within the assigned area
  • Instruct team members on maintenance/repair theory and practice and best practices, respecting skill levels, with attention to safety, quality, cost, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
  • Operate and instruct on the maintenance database and work order system
  • Participate in the flow of information within the department
  • Interact with Management, Team Leaders, Senior Machinists, etc.
  • Travel may be required for training and technical benchmarking
  • Be available for telephone support and call-ins as required
  • Support and interact with contracted service and maintenance specialists

EDUCATION

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (minimum)
  • Certificate of Qualification — Industrial Millwright 433A (Licensed)
  • Licensed to work on high-reach equipment

EXPERIENCE

  • Currently registered as a Maintenance Millwright
  • Prior mechanical experience in the automotive industry or a CNC machine shop (required)

SKILLS

  • Strong ability to work independently
  • Solid knowledge of general plant systems and equipment
  • Good knowledge of industrial electronics
  • Able to interpret maintenance/repair specs from vendor schematics, data, drawings, and instructions
  • In-depth knowledge of assembled components on machinery or in the plant
  • Thorough understanding of various bearings and seals
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lubricants, greases, and oils and their proper application
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving ability
