ONSITE 5 days - 21 College Street, Toronto

MUST HAVES:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated working knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder
  • 4+ years of demonstrated working knowledge of SQL query languages (T-SQL, PL-SQL)
  • 2+ years of demonstrated working knowledge of DAX programming
  • Oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and consultative skills, facilitation skills

Scope:

  • Provide planning, assessment, and development effort to complete the migration of approximately 270 operational reports from Courts legacy systems to new CDT solution.
  • Work with Project Manager and Business Areas to evaluate and modernize reports, where applicable.
  • Migrate report functionality to Power BI Desktop or Power BI Report Builder based on Project Team assessment
  • Work with project team to complete all relevant and required documentation, such as knowledge transfer, and communication, to support the completion of the project

Assignment Deliverables:

  • Participate in reporting needs assessment to understand the functionality and design of the current operational reports in use
  • Perform assessment, and define approach in collaboration with project team and stakeholder to migrate operational reports to appropriate CDT solution standard reporting features or to a Power BI tool (i.e., Desktop or Report Builder)
  • Perform design and development activities to migrate operational reports to Power BI in alignment with OPS Standards and Guidelines (i.e., AODA, WCAG 2.0 Level AA)
  • Perform troubleshooting and apply corrective actions to resolve issues with migrated reports and dashboards discovered during pre-release testing
  • Work with project team to provide relevant and required documentation to support migration activities and knowledge transfer
  • Participate in knowledge transfer activities

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience building, testing and implementing complex reports, dashboards, and other objects
  • Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise on report implementation to OPS staff
  • Building data models optimized for business intelligence and analytic functions
  • Financial Data reporting and data reconciliation
  • Prototyping to develop business requirements for future implementation
  • Analyze, Design, Build and Test databases based on business requirements
  • Analyze, Design, Build and Test Reports, Dashboards and other objects
  • Design functional test and technical deployment strategies
  • Research, document, prototype, design, build, test and implement business requirements for advanced business intelligence and analytic capabilities
  • Design, build and deploy data models optimized for business intelligence and analytics
  • Analyze, Design, Build and Test data models and integration with third party systems
  • Conduct research and prototyping of new business intelligence and analytics capabilities to support OPS business requirements
