Stainless Steel Groove Operator

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for setting up and operating a Stainless-Steel Grooving Machine.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Select proper components/raw materials.
• Complete production paperwork and ISO reads as required.
• Perform quality measurements and data recording.
• Roll groove stainless steel fittings (2" to 8") to desired specifications.
• Package and label finished products according to work instructions/method sheets.
• Set up grooving machine for production runs.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

This role is very manual and hands-on. You will be on your feet all day loading steel pipes into the grooving machine, inputting measurements, and repeating that process continuously. It's definitely a physically demanding role, so ideally you should be comfortable standing for long periods and have some experience with measurements.

In addition, there are lifts at the station to support lifting the pipes and training involved to get certified. The machine itself is used to create grooves on steel or stainless steel pipes so they can be connected using couplings (instead of welding). In practice, you're basically measuring, loading the pipe, waiting for the groove to finish, and then moving on to the next - all day.
