About the Company
Fast growing company in the plastics industry with multiple manufacturing locations has an excellent opportunity available for a Product Manager.
About the Role
This position will be involved in market & business analysis, product line development, sales & margin reviews, product cost models, development and posting of content marketing for social media, market development, marketing strategies, supporting materials for product launch, and managing the development process.

Qualifications
- BSc, BASc, or BEng in Chemical Engineering, Engineering Chemistry, Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry or Materials Science & Engineering or a business degree with technical experience in film, flexible and rigid packaging markets.
- MBA or equivalent sales and/or business experience of 5-10 years in the field.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of film, flexible and rigid packaging markets.
- Experience in production, plastics, thermoplastics, polyolefins, polyethylene, polypropylene, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, formulation, compounding, extrusion, processing and/or films applications.
- Project and time management – ability to manage long term projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a cross-functional team with peers, managers and technicians.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally, both internally and to customers and suppliers.
- Proficient in data analysis, ERPs (preferably SAP) and statistical methods.
- Self-driven and results oriented.
