Job Overview
We are currently hiring an experienced Machinist with strong conventional lathe experience to join a precision manufacturing team in Nepean. This role focuses on manual machining of high-precision, tight-tolerance components in a clean, climate-controlled shop environment.
This is a conventional machining role only. CNC experience is not required.Responsibilities
Operate conventional lathes to machine precision componentsRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsMachine parts to tight tolerances and quality standardsUse precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshootingInspect finished parts for accuracy and quality complianceMaintain a safe and organized work environmentRequirements
Minimum 2 years of experience operating conventional lathes (required)Strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision workAbility to read technical drawings and blueprintsExperience using precision measuring instrumentsStrong attention to detail and quality-focused mindsetAbility to work independently and reliably
