Perform regular site inspections, hazard assessments, audits, and safety observations.

Identify unsafe conditions or behaviours and work with site leadership to implement corrective actions.

Support incident investigations, reporting, documentation, and follow-up actions.

Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including inspection reports, safety meeting minutes, training records, SDS information, emergency response materials, and compliance records.

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of project-specific safety plans.

Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure site safety expectations are clearly communicated.

Support compliance with company safety standards, client requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations.

Provide safety guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and workers in a practical and professional manner.

Track safety trends, report on key observations, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Promote a positive, proactive, and accountable safety culture on site.

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, recreation, multi-family, or similar construction projects is preferred.

Strong understanding of construction safety practices, hazard assessments, inspections, incident reporting, and site documentation.

Working knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation, safety management systems, and construction site requirements.

Ability to communicate effectively with site workers, subcontractors, supervisors, project teams, clients, and regulatory representatives.

Strong organization, documentation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with MS Office and online safety reporting tools.
