A well-established private operations company is seeking a skilled, reliable, and hands-on Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team full-time.

We are looking for someone who is mechanically strong, works well independently, and can also support a fast-paced operations environment when needed. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment serviceable, organized, and ready to perform in demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

● Track equipment hours and service requirements with management

● Complete seasonal servicing of fleet equipment, including:

o Engine oil and filter changes

o Drive gear oil and filter changes

o Hydraulic oil and filter changes

o Full equipment inspections

● Perform ongoing in-season service and repairs on heavy equipment

● Inspect equipment for serviceability and safe operation

● Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs as required

● Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop

● Perform additional facility and equipment-related maintenance duties as assigned

● Performing other maintenance related duties as assigned

Qualifications

● Valid Ontario G or G2 Driver's Licence

● Reliable transportation

● Reliable mobile communication

● Able to provide a driver's abstract

● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

● Strong organizational skills and initiative

● Strong written and verbal English communication skills

● Physically capable of using heavy tools and equipment

● Minimum Grade 12 / GED or equivalent

● Experience with tractors, plow trucks, blowers, sweepers, diesel equipment, hydraulic systems, and small engine equipment is considered a strong asset
