This role is best suited for an experienced electrician who is open to frequent travel to complete field service work, troubleshooting complex equipment, and working independently while delivering exceptional customer service.What you will be doing:Service, Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, lifting devices, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical failures.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and equipment assessments.
- Perform commissioning and load testing activities.
- Complete modernization and equipment upgrade projects.
- Respond to customer service calls and equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls, motors, drives, wiring systems, and mechanical components.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical recommendations to customers to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
- Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and service requirements clearly and professionally.
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites.
- Complete service reports, inspection documentation, work orders, and related records accurately and on time.
- Document labour hours, materials used, repairs completed, and inspection findings.
- Ensure all required service records are maintained according to company and regulatory requirements.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with WorkSafeBC regulations and applicable industry standards.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe working condition.
- Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical service, maintenance, field service, or a related technical role.
- Red Seal/Journeyman Electrician Certification is preferred.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout British Columbia.
- Experience servicing: Overhead cranes, Hoists, Material handling equipment, Industrial electrical systems, and Lifting equipment
- Knowledge of: CSA standards, Electrical codes, Preventative maintenance programs, and Industrial safety practices
- Candidates must be able to safely perform the essential duties of the role, including:
- Lifting and moving materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Working at heights.
- Working in confined spaces.
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Full-time permanent position.
- Day shifts; Typical schedule ranges from 50–60 hours per week based on operational requirements.
- Overtime may be required and will be compensated in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation.
- Extensive travel throughout British Columbia is required.
- Salary of $45–$55 per hour depending on experience, certifications, qualifications, and demonstrated technical expertise.
