The Commercial Associate will support the Commercial Sales and Logistics teams. Reporting to the VP Commercial, the role collaborates cross-functionally with Operations, Quality Assurance, Billing, and Logistics to ensure supply continuity, product quality, and the efficient execution of commercial activities. This position requires regular travel, including attending trade shows, visiting company sites, and meeting with prospective and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and company plants through regular interaction, including site visits, client meetings, and participation in industry trade shows.
  • Support business development initiatives within the assigned area, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
  • Work with Billing and Transportation teams to ensure accurate invoicing, pricing validation, and inventory valuation.
  • Establish sales agreements with customers and develop strategies to expand business activity.
  • Partner with Operations Management to monitor raw material quality and supply chain performance.
  • Represent the company in supplier negotiations, including contracts and policy alignment.
  • Resolve customer or contractor issues, including grievances and claims.
  • Travel as required to meet with prospective clients, attend industry events, and support commercial growth initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial experience in import/export or sales within the food/meat industry.
  • Strong understanding of import business, particularly meat or fish products.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers and suppliers.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently, including for trade shows and client meetings.
