Host/Hostess – Umami

Umami is a brand-new Asian fusion restaurant looking for friendly, organized, and welcoming Hosts/Hostesses to join our opening team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will help create a positive and memorable dining experience from the moment guests walk through the door. This is for a full time position of about 35hrs weekly.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally
• Manage reservations and waitlists
• Seat guests efficiently and maintain table flow
• Answer phone calls and assist with guest inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front entrance and host stand
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff
• Assist with opening and closing duties

Requirements

• Friendly and positive attitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Previous restaurant or customer service experience required
