Logistics Dispatcher

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatch professional to join our growing operations team. In this role, you will be a key support to the dispatch department - managing carrier relationships, securing freight capacity, and ensuring seamless movement of domestic and transborder shipments on behalf of our clients. This is a fast-paced, communication-heavy role that requires urgency, precision, and a strong understanding of the transportation landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Source carriers for existing customer freight movements and secure competitive rates, availability, and transit times across a variety of carrier types

· Arrange pick-up and delivery of client orders for both domestic and transborder shipments

· Track and trace shipments, monitor status in real time, and proactively relay updates to customers

· Expand and maintain the carrier network within the TMS, including lanes, equipment types, and service level data

· Develop and nurture carrier relationships to ensure reliable capacity and preferred service

· Update the TMS with accessorial charges and ensure each load is complete and accurate for billing

· Support prospect quoting and RFP activities, including assisting with strategic pricing and freight quote preparation

· Collaborate with the Rates Department and Transportation Department to provide carrier options for freight movements

· Take on additional duties as assigned in support of broader operations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

· Experience: 2–3 years of experience in the transportation or logistics industry

· Familiarity with TMS platforms and load management processes

· Strong knowledge of domestic and transborder freight movement

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-urgency environment - speed and accuracy matter equally here

· Strong communicator - comfortable negotiating with carriers and updating clients

· Organized and detail-oriented, particularly around billing accuracy and data entry
