Pretium Packaging is a worldwide manufacturer of blow-molded plastic bottles/containers and currently has an opportunity for a full-time Morning / Afternoon shift Material Handler in our Surrey, BC location. This position will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours a week on scheduled shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure raw materials and supplies, are topped up in the production area
- Move out finished goods, label, scan, wrap and move into warehouse staging area
- Help Operators with the operation of the machines in preparation for advancement
- Lifting boxes (must be able to lift 50lbs)
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm
Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm
Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Proven problem solving and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, energetic and team oriented.
- A mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Excellent safety record.
- Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks (Time management).
- Experience in blow molding plastics or a related field is an asset.
- RF experience a plus.
- Forklift certified an asset (however this is not a forklift driver position).
Working Conditions
- Industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and chemicals
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and occasional heavy physical work
- Must have the availability to work days, afternoons or nights as we are a 24/7 facility.
- Adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory
