This is a short-term 4 month part-time contract role supporting a Monos pop-up activation. As a Host, you'll bring our hospitality-first retail experience to a temporary space, creating memorable moments for every Guest who walks through the door.
Responsibilities
- Champion Monos' vision of redefining retail by infusing hospitality into every aspect of the Guest journey, making the pop-up feel like a welcoming, thoughtfully curated experience.
- Deliver exceptional Guest experiences by greeting Guests promptly, assessing their needs, recommending suitable products, and offering product demonstrations as required.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Monos products, including features, benefits, materials, and usage, to confidently educate and assist Guests in making informed purchase decisions.
- Perform all sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
- Support pop-up merchandising and inventory by receiving stock, ensuring products are well presented, and reporting inventory discrepancies to the pop-up lead.
- Execute daily operational tasks including setup and teardown, cleaning duties, opening and closing procedures, and general upkeep to ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for Guests and team members.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with the pop-up team and offering feedback on ways to improve Guest service and pop-up performance.
- Adhere to all Monos policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, workplace conduct, and loss prevention.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the pop-up lead or leadership team to support operations and brand goals.
Experience Level
- 1-2 years experience in retail, hospitality, or events
- Exceptional communication skills to connect effectively with the team and Guests
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, temporary retail environment
- Experience using Shopify is an asset but not required
- Must be available for the full pop-up period, including early evenings and weekends
- Able to lift and carry 25-30 lbs
