About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded Junior/Intermediate Accountant to support and strengthen the day-to-day financial operations of our growing hospitality group.

This is a hands-on role encompassing full-cycle accounting, accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll administration, and financial reporting across multiple locations. The position is well-suited for a professional who takes pride in accuracy, exercises sound judgment, and can manage high transaction volumes in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play an integral role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting cash flow visibility, and ensuring accurate and timely accounting operations across all business units.

This position is best suited for a motivated self-starter who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating with a degree of autonomy within a scaling organization where systems and processes continue to be refined and improved.

How You'll Contribute

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform bank and credit card reconciliations using QuickBooks Online.
  • Process accounts payable, manage vendor invoices, track expenses, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial reporting, audit preparation, and government filings (GST/PST, payroll remittances, etc.).
  • Administer biweekly payroll and maintain employee payroll records in compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Coordinate onboarding, payroll changes, and offboarding documentation.
  • Maintain organized financial records, filing systems, contracts, and administrative workflows.
  • Provide administrative support to leadership and assist with vendor, office, and operational coordination.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in bookkeeping, payroll administration, or accounting support.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, operational environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, retail, events, or multi-location businesses
  • Experience with Dext, Square, or POS-integrated systems
  • Exposure to inventory, vendor reconciliation, or cost tracking workflows
