This role is crucial in setting a positive tone for our guests' day, ensuring they start with delicious, high-quality breakfast offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively prepare and replenish a variety of dishes for the breakfast buffet, ensuring freshness and appeal.
- Maintain stringent quality standards for all food items, meticulously monitoring presentation and portion control.
- Efficiently manage kitchen operations with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving.
- Uphold a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Operate specialized cooking equipment safely and proficiently to deliver consistent culinary excellence.
- Actively contribute to waste reduction efforts, optimizing ingredient usage and minimizing food spoilage.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Prior cooking experience, ideally one year, with a preference for hotel or buffet environments.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic kitchen setting, demonstrating adaptability and effective multitasking.
- Availability to work morning shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and following oral and written directions in English.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to ensure smooth service delivery.
