Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations across our projects and worksites. Reporting to the Operations / Project Manager, the Superintendent is responsible for leading crews, coordinating resources, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and takes pride in building strong, capable teams.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and oversee daily field operations across one or more active sites
Supervise, schedule, and mentor crews, foremen, and subcontractors
Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and logistics to meet project timelines
Ensure all work meets quality, budget, and schedule requirements
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company health & safety policies
Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
Liaise with clients, project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track
Monitor progress, track costs and productivity, and report on key metrics
Identify and resolve operational issues proactively
Maintain accurate site documentation and daily reports
Qualifications
5+ years of supervisory experience in industrial, construction, or related field operations
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews
Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and occupational health & safety practices
Solid planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Relevant safety certifications / tickets an asset (e.g., First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space, WHMIS)
Valid BC drivers licence and a clean driving record
Ability to work on-site and travel between locations as required
