About the Role:
Rococo Homes Inc. is hiring an Estimating Manager to lead and manage our estimating, procurement, and purchasing function.
This is a management role with full responsibility for pricing, procurement, trade relationships, and cost control across our projects. You will build accurate budgets, manage risk, and ensure every project is set up properly before construction begins.
You will work directly with Leadership and Operations. You will be given the autonomy to run this department and are expected to take full ownership of results.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
- lead and manage the estimating and purchasing function
- build and manage detailed budgets for multiple custom homes
- complete accurate quantity takeoffs and full scope reviews
- maintain and improve pricing databases and standard specifications
- lead trade tendering, bid analysis, and price negotiations
- develop and actively manage trade and supplier relationships
- create and enforce purchase order systems and cost controls
- track budget versus actual costs and report on variances
- provide clear reporting on margins, cost trends, and risks
- conduct regular site visits to stay aligned with construction progress
- work with operations to ensure scopes are complete and executable
- lead estimating reviews and participate in operations meetings
- improve systems, processes, and overall department performance

- budgets land within 3% of final cost
- margin targets are achieved and protected on every project
- scopes are complete with minimal misses or rework
- trades are competitive, reliable, and accountable
- purchasing is structured and controlled
- reporting is clear, consistent, and supports decision making
- estimating systems improve over time under your leadership
What You Bring:
- 5+ years residential construction estimating experience
- strong experience with custom homes and detail driven builds
- deep understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and scopes
- proven ability to manage multiple projects without losing detail
- strong negotiation skills with trades and suppliers
- experience building or improving estimating systems and processes
- strong financial mindset with focus on margins and cost control
- organized with a repeatable system for managing work
- confident decision maker who takes ownership of outcomes
- solid computer skills including Excel and project management software
- Buildertrend experience is an asset

Compensation:
- salary based on experience

Position Details:
- full time, Monday to Friday
- based in Spruce Grove, Alberta
- in office position with regular site visits if required for quality or cost assurance
