Underground Mining Geologist
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Underground Mining Geologist to join our team. You will be responsible for geological data collection, interpretation, and modeling within an active underground mining environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting detailed geological mapping of underground workings and drill core.
- Interpreting geological data to create 3D models of ore bodies and geological structures.
- Providing geological guidance to the mining team, including stope design and grade control.
- Ensuring accurate sampling and assaying procedures.
- Contributing to resource estimation and reporting.
- Collaborating with other geologists, engineers, and mine personnel.
- Maintaining a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in underground mining geology.
- Proficiency with geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Datamine).
- Strong understanding of ore deposit geology and structural geology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a challenging underground environment.
