Key Focuses

  • Maintains a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor in all guest encounters, responding appropriately to requests and concerns.
  • Ensures the restaurant, public areas, server stations, and storage areas are “picture perfect” to support a strong first impression.
  • Recognizes that clear and cohesive communication between departments is essential to Nordic Spa operations.
  • Welcomes guests promptly and courteously upon entering the restaurant.
  • Develops excellent product knowledge of all menu items and is able to confidently answer guest inquiries.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail when taking guest orders and entering them into the POS system, ensuring all dietary preferences and special requests are clearly communicated.
  • Serves food and beverages promptly, ensuring accurate presentation and temperatures while offering recommendations and menu guidance.
  • Prepares itemized cheques, processes payments accurately and promptly.
  • Anticipates guest needs by replenishing beverages, condiments, and table supplies throughout the guest's dining experience.
  • Adheres to all regulations governing the service of food and alcohol.
  • Promotes a safe work environment by identifying hazards and reporting concerns immediately to the supervisor or manager on duty.

Experience/Passions/Education

  • Maintains a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor in all guest encounters, responding appropriately to requests and concerns.
  • Minimum of two years of serving preferred
  • Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations
  • Must hold a valid ProServe certification
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills
  • Highly organized, with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Passion for people and wellness, with a commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Ability to remain focused, courteous and professional while managing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent grooming and professional presentation

Working Conditions

This position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with constant interaction with guests, team members, and other stakeholders. Due to our year-round operations, this role requires the ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays and may involve extended hours during periods of high business levels. A portion of this role is performed outdoors in the fresh mountain air, with exposure to a wide range of weather conditions, including temperatures from -30°ree;C to +30°ree;C. The position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, as well as occasional use of ladders, stairs, or ramps. The ability to lift up to 30 lbs is required.
