Summary:

This role is a Full-Time, In-Office position based at our Edmonton location. The Warehouse Worker will be a key team member that efficiently contributes to the warehouse operations by ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and shipping of goods. The Warehouse worker will also maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to safety protocols, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the warehouse team and the company as a whole.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Must have a Forklift or Reach truck License/designation
  • Loading and unloading courier and freight trucks
  • Picking orders using the RF scanner
  • Checking orders for accuracy
  • Packing orders in boxes or on skids so that they are ready to ship
  • Creating shipments and/or weigh bills for the couriers and trucks
  • Receiving products using the RF scanners and Business Central ERP
  • Finding a bin for the product on the shelves
  • Communicating with both purchasing and CSR/sales reps for any discrepancies using both e-mail and phone when necessary
  • Keeping your work area and the rest of the warehouse clean and tidy
  • Labelling products and shelves within the warehouse
  • Moving products to different areas in the warehouse
  • Take out garbage and recycling
  • Cutting tubing and wiring to correct lengths
  • Inventory counts
  • Cycle counts
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred
  • Basic math and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks), knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to lift and move objects.
  • Must present and communicate in a professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be organized.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals.
  • A positive attitude is essential.

Key Working Relationships

  • Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisors and managers to receive instructions, updates, and guidance on daily tasks and priorities.
  • Work closely with fellow warehouse workers as part of a team to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Work in coordination with Sales and Customer Service Representatives to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to safe protocols and guidelines established by the Joint Health and Safety Committee and the Safety Officer.
