Quote & Project Responsibilities

Each of the responsibilities outlined below is a leadership responsibility that the Account Manager provides to the Project Managers:

  • Managing Scope: Projects need to have a defined Scope of Work (SOW), and this must be broken down and managed through a series of actions to accomplish the SOW. This must be clearly defined in the quote stage and communicated to the Project Manager.
  • Managing Time/Schedule: Projects must be delivered on time. The AM is responsible for maintaining close contact with their respective Project Managers to ensure projects are completed promptly, according to the original timeline agreed upon.
  • Managing Costs: Responsible for quoting or overseeing the quoting process on all assigned projects. Quotes must accurately reflect the associated costs of the project, along with any potentially additional costs and should be aware of the geographic opportunities and restrictions when determining pricing excellence.
  • Managing Communication: Projects involve multiple stakeholders who directly benefit from the project outcomes. Ensuring that all participants are properly communicating, verbally or in writing, is a must for a well-run project. AMs are responsible for making sure that the PMs are providing excellent communication between the project team and the client.
  • Training: Responsible for training and mentoring Project Managers and Quote Administrators to enhance their knowledge of the products and services provided to our clients.

  • Market Trends: AMs should be in tune with and analyze local/broad market trends. They should work with this information and the Business Development Manager to actively seek opportunities.
  • Client Relationships: In addition to maintaining existing relationships, build new relationships and expand overall reach in pre-defined regions and market segments.
  • Revenue Growth Responsibility: Define clear KPIs for revenue growth with the Business Development Manager on an annual basis. These KPIs are to be discussed regularly for performance measures and strategic adjustments.
