Our client is a leading importer and distributor of branded and private-label consumer packaged goods (CPG), partnering with national brands and independent retailers across Ontario. We pride ourselves on strong retail relationships, execution excellence, and territory ownership.

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused CPG Sales Representative to manage and grow our Oshawa–Kingston territory. This role is responsible for developing retail relationships, expanding distribution, executing in-store programs, and driving consistent sales growth across independent and regional accounts.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience selling CPG into grocery, convenience, specialty, or independent retail environments and thrives in a field-based, autonomous sales role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an assigned Oshawa–Kingston sales territory
  • Call on independent grocery, convenience, specialty food, and regional retail accounts
  • Drive new listings, distribution gains, and shelf presence
  • Execute promotions, pricing programs, flyers, and in-store activations
  • Build strong relationships with store owners, managers, and buyers
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure merchandising standards, planogram compliance, and product availability
  • Identify new business opportunities and open new accounts
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback
  • Manage territory forecasting, reporting, and CRM updates
  • Work closely with internal sales leadership and supply chain teams

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of CPG sales experience, preferably in a field sales role
  • Proven experience selling into independent retail channels
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
  • Must reside in the territory
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a large geographic territory
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the territory
  • CRM experience preferred (Salesforce or similar)
